SIZE GUIDE & CARE

Size Guide

Finding the right fit is important for both comfort and safety. To measure your dog’s neck accurately, use a soft measuring tape around the area where the collar naturally sits — usually the middle of the neck.

The tape should feel snug, but not tight. As a general rule, you should be able to comfortably fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck once fitted.

Measuring Tips

  • Measure directly against the fur and avoid pulling the tape too tightly
  • If your dog is fluffy or between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up
  • Puppies and growing dogs may benefit from choosing a size with extra adjustment room
  • If you already have a well-fitting collar, you can measure from the buckle fold to the hole currently being used and compare this to our sizing chart

Care Guide

Walkology gear is designed for real life with real dogs — muddy walks, beach swims, rainy adventures and everything in between.

Our collars and leads are made using durable Biothane®, a waterproof vegan leather alternative known for its strength, flexibility and easy-clean finish.

Cleaning Your Gear

For everyday cleaning, simply wipe down your Walkology gear with warm water to remove dirt and debris.

For lighter coloured collars or heavier dirt build-up, use a mild soap with a soft cloth or soft-bristled brush, then rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.

You can also leave your dog’s collar on during bath time for an easy refresh.

Brass Hardware Care

Our solid brass hardware will naturally develop a patina over time. This is completely normal and part of the character of real brass.

Oxidation occurs when brass is exposed to oxygen, moisture and natural oils through regular wear. This may appear as dullness or darkening on the hardware surface, however it does not affect the strength, safety or integrity of the hardware.

If you prefer a brighter polished finish, brass can be cleaned using:

  • A soft cloth with a gentle brass cleaner, or
  • A natural paste made from lemon juice and baking soda

After cleaning, rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

Saltwater & Beach Use

While Biothane® is waterproof, we recommend rinsing your gear with fresh water after exposure to saltwater, sand or chlorine to maximise the longevity of both the material and hardware.
